This was the last time I got to record with one of my closest  friends, Shayne Barry. We had known each other for over 20 years and we played  together live for nearly 10 years, (Shaylee Wilde and the Lads) travelling to New Zealand and all differnt places throughout Australia.  He was a great talent with a gift for turning a tune into a song worth listening too. He was a passionate musician with a love for The Blues.
Shayne always enjoyed  the Irish people and their music and even penned a touching song  "The Prodical Son" which I recorded on an C.D  intitled "Call Of The Wilde"
We lost Shayne in a tragic motor bike accident on the 1st December 2003. His wit, his music and his love for life will live on in the hearts of all who knew him
